India's Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid asked the United States to close the case against the Indian diplomat, who was arrested in New York on charges of visa fraud. Mr. Khurshid said that India is not convinced that the United States has reason flowers to arrest the diplomat Devyani Khobragade, for which he said he was treated like a criminal. Indian Foreign Minister said he has asked that all charges against her be removed without delay and that he would speak to this issue today with Secretary Kerry. Khobragade 39-year-old is accused of making false statements in the application for a visa to an Indian citizen, which she brought flowers to the United States to work as a helper in her home. On Wednesday, the Manhattan prosecutor in New York, Preet Bharara, flowers in a statement noted that Khobragade diplomat was treated better than other defendants ç'trajtohen, most Americans in similar situations. Prosecutor in turn raises the question of why feelings of remorse for diplomat in India are larger than the woman who worked as a helper for him, which allegedly was paid only one-third of the salary that has Khobragade diplomat reported to U.S. authorities. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry spoke on the phone with senior Indian officials to seek apology for the incident. In an e-mail published on Wednesday, Khobragade diplomat noted that after the arrest on December 12 she was handcuffed and underwent a physical finer control, and kept arrested on charges of visa fraud.
